Myofascial Cupping

What is Myofascial Cupping?
Myofascial cupping is a soft tissue therapy that combines traditional cupping with myofascial release. Silicone cups are applied to the skin and gently slid over the muscle and fascia to lift and separate the layers, releasing tension, improving mobility, and increasing blood flow.
This technique is effective for managing muscle pain, improving tissue hydration, reducing fascial restrictions, and addressing postural imbalances.
The sliding motion allows for broader coverage and targets areas of tension, enhancing circulation and lymph flow.
Unlike static cupping, where the cups remain in place, sliding cupping continuously moves to release deeper muscle tension and reduce fascial adhesions.

Benefits:
Common benefits include:
• Reduction in muscle tightness and pain
• Improved range of motion and flexibility
• Enhanced blood circulation and lymphatic flow
• Support for postural imbalances and recovery
• Relief from tension headaches or chronic stiffness
At Knots + Niggles Therapy, myofascial cupping is used selectively based on your needs and treatment goals.
Note: It may leave temporary red or purple marks on the skin, which is a normal response to the technique and will subside in 24-48 hours.
